POLYMER PREPARATION DEVICES

Polymer preparation devices are automatic systems used to dissolve powder polymers in water to achieve the desired viscosity and active substance ratio.
Overview

Polymer preparation devices are automatic systems used to dissolve powder polymers in water to achieve the desired viscosity and active substance ratio. These devices are critical for the efficient operation of sludge dewatering, coagulation-flocculation, chemical treatment and DAF processes. Fully automatic control systems ensure the preparation of polymer solution in the correct ratio and provide continuous, homogeneous and stable feeding to the process. Our company produces polymer preparation units in standard capacities of 1 m³, 2 m³, 3 m³, 5 m³ and 10 m³, as well as project-based custom sizes with stainless steel, PP or HDPE bodies.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The system typically operates through a three-stage process:

1
Preparation chamber

Dry or liquid polymer is first mixed with water.

2
Maturation chamber

The mixture is homogenized with a low-speed mixer for a certain period.

3
Dosing chamber

Ready-to-use polymer solution is fed to the treatment process via dosing pumps.

During the preparation process, water flow rate, mixing time and dosing ratio are automatically regulated under PLC control. This guarantees that a solution with the same active substance ratio is always obtained.

WORKING SCENARIOS

1. Dry Polymer Preparation Units
  • Powder polymer is fed in determined amount with automatic auger hopper system

  • In the first mixing chamber, polymer makes pre-mix with flow-controlled water

  • Dissolution is completed with slow mixing in maturation chamber

  • Ready solution is sent to process line via dosing pumps

2. Semi-Automatic Units
  • In systems requiring low capacity, water filling and polymer feeding can be done manually

  • Mixer and dosing pump are still PLC or time-controlled
