MBR (Membrane Bioreactor)
In MBR systems, biological treatment is combined with membrane filtration. UF (Ultrafiltration) or MF (Microfiltration) membranes are located inside the activated sludge reactor. This enables physical sludge separation, high-quality effluent, and suitability for recovery. Provides compact design, low space requirement, and effluent quality fully compliant with discharge regulations.
  • High-quality effluent: BOD < 5 mg/L, COD < 30 mg/L, no suspended solids
  • Compact design: 50-70% less space compared to traditional systems
  • Recovery suitability: Can be upgraded to drinking water quality with advanced treatment or reverse osmosis
  • High MLSS concentration: Operation in the range of 8,000-15,000 mg/L

MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor)
In MBBR systems, high surface area carrier materials (biofilm carriers) are in motion inside the reactor. Biofilm forms on these carriers and organic matter, nitrogen, and phosphorus removal occurs. It is a compact, modular, and high-loading capacity system. Can be easily integrated into existing plants or used as the main process in new plants.
