Fan systems used in industrial facilities do not only transport air; they protect the process, keep equipment alive, and ensure worker safety. As PİLSAN, we design and manufacture PP (Polypropylene) ventilation fans that will operate in environments with corrosive and aggressive gases.
Where metal fans quickly corrode, long-lasting and safe operation is ensured thanks to the chemical resistance and lightweight structure of PP material. Our fans are produced suitable for continuous operation in chemical processes, treatment facilities, laboratory ventilation, and acidic environments.

DESIGN AND ENGINEERING

All of our PP fans are sized according to engineering calculations based on air flow rate, static pressure, temperature, and gas composition parameters.
Design Process:
  • Determination of target flow rate (m³/h) and pressure (Pa) values

  • Optimization of fan housing geometry through CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyses

  • Adjustment of blade angles according to air direction (Suction / Discharge / Exhaust) and operating conditions

  • Noise, vibration, and efficiency optimization


Fan housings are manufactured from monoblock PP or PP-GF (glass fiber reinforced polypropylene) material. PVDF transition zones can be used in high temperature or abrasive gas applications. Motor connection flanges, vibration isolation pads, and leak-proof connection surfaces are designed to prevent deformation during long-term operation.

PİLSAN PP fans are produced in different models according to system requirements:
Radial (Centrifugal) Fans

Used in treatment, acid gas suction, and scrubber outlet lines requiring high pressure and flow rate

Flow rate: 500 – 50,000 m³/h

Axial Fans

Ideal for air circulation in low-pressure, large-volume environments

Laboratory, warehouse, and facility ventilation

Wall / Duct Type Exhaust Fans

Used in building exterior outlets or integrated with PP duct systems

Leak-proof housing structure

PRODUCTION AND ASSEMBLY

Fan housings are produced with butt welding and extrusion welding after CNC cutting. Each fan goes through balance adjustment, vibration control, and air performance testing. Blades are selected from polypropylene, PVC, or PVDF material, suitable for the chemical environment.

Motors are selected in IP55 protection class, compliant with IEC 60034 standard, and corrosive environment coated (epoxy) versions can be used.

During Assembly:
  • Fan housing is mounted to PP duct system with flanged or leak-proof gasketed connection

  • Mechanical vibration is minimized by using vibration-damping feet and isolators

  • Electrical connections are brought outside the fan housing to ensure safe operation

Each fan goes through comprehensive test stages before delivery:

Flow rate – pressure performance test

Noise level measurement

Vibration and balance control

Leak test

Additionally, chemical resistance tests guarantee the long-term resistance of the fan housing. Test results are delivered to the customer together with fan label information.
