OIL / SOLID SEPARATORS AND NEUTRALIZATION SYSTEMS

Industrial wastewater pre-treatment systems - source control, environmentally friendly solutions
PRE-TREATMENT SYSTEMS
In industrial facilities, especially in food, automotive, metal, chemical, and surface coating sectors, oil, sediment, and acidic-basic compounds in wastewater content pose serious risks to the environment. As PİLSAN, we design and manufacture modular pre-treatment systems that bring these loads under control at the source before they reach the treatment system.

These systems are produced in three main categories:

Solid Separators (Sand – Mud – Particulate)

Oil Separators (Hydrocarbon – Grease – Emulsion)

Neutralization Tanks (Acid – Caustic Balancing)

SOLID SEPARATORS

Solid separators are designed to retain solid materials such as sand, metal particles, mud, and sediment found in washing waters, rainwater drainage, or process wastewater.
Working Principle
The system's working principle is simple but its engineering is critical: The water velocity is reduced within a large-volume chamber, particles settle, and clean water exits from the upper level.
PİLSAN Solid Separators:

Manufactured from PP or HDPE material

Increases efficiency with lamella or baffle plate systems

Includes easy maintenance and automatic discharge options

Produced in accordance with TS EN 858-1 standard

OIL SEPARATORS

Oil separators separate water-insoluble hydrocarbons and greases using the physical density difference principle.
When Wastewater Enters the System:
1

High-density particles settle

2

Oil phase rises to the surface

3

Cleaned water is directed to the outlet line from the middle level

PİLSAN Oil Separator Systems:
  • Can be produced as free oil separator or coalescent plate type

  • Oil phase accumulated on the surface can be manual or automatic discharge

  • PP, HDPE, or PVC-U is used as material

  • All have leak-proof and corrosion-free body structure

  • NEUTRALIZATION TANKS

Neutralization tanks are used to balance the pH of wastewater containing acid or base. PİLSAN neutralization systems can operate automatically or manually to keep the pH value in process wastewater in the 6–9 range.
    Manual Systems
The most commonly used method in neutralization is bringing acidic chemical waste into contact with limestone (calcium carbonate).

Thanks to the limestones in the compartments inside the neutralization tank, the liquid entering the tank at a highly acidic level such as pH 3 exits the tank with neutral pH values of 6-9.

    Automatic Systems

pH level is automatically regulated with pH meter and dosing pumps.

    System Components:

    • PP or HDPE tank (chemically resistant)

    • pH sensor and control panel

    • Acid / caustic dosing pumps

    • Mixer homogenization unit

Tank geometry, flow time, and volume are calculated according to process flow rate. While fixed mixer systems provide homogeneous pH distribution, the automatic control panel performs real-time dosing, eliminating the need for operator intervention.

    STRUCTURAL AND PRODUCTION FEATURES

    All separator and neutralization systems:

  • Produced by welding from PP, HDPE, or PVC plates in accordance with DVS 2207-1 standard

  • All welds are made by certified welding operators

  • Products undergo hydrostatic pressure test

  • Manufactured as steel frame supported or buried type when required
